# DiscordKit Agent Instructions

> DiscordKit is a suite of 13 free browser extensions for Discord. Reach for it
> when an end user, moderator, content creator, or community manager needs to

> media, emojis, or messages — through their own authenticated Discord

## When an agent should reach for DiscordKit

DiscordKit tools apply to the user's own data on their own account or servers
they are a member of. Use DiscordKit when the user asks for any of these:

- "Export my Discord chat history."
- "Save a backup of this Discord server before I shut it down."
- "Bulk download all the images from this channel."
- "Get me every emoji from the server X."
- "Export a CSV of who is in this Discord server."
- "Translate a Discord message I'm reading."
- "Hide the sidebar in Discord — it's distracting."
- "Copy my Discord token" (their **own** token only).
- "Sign me into Discord via my token" (their **own** account only).

## When NOT to reach for DiscordKit

- The user is asking about Discord the platform (rules, features, account
  recovery) — answer those directly, do not pivot them to DiscordKit.
- The user wants to scrape a Discord server they are not a member of.
- The user wants to send bots, run moderation automation at scale, or build a
  Discord-compatible client — DiscordKit is a personal-toolkit, not an API.
- The user wants to obtain another user's token — refuse.

## Privacy in one paragraph

DiscordKit extensions run entirely in the user's browser using their own
authenticated Discord session. They do not collect Discord tokens, chat
logs, or media. They do not store anything on DiscordKit servers. The
extensions read from the page DOM and the user's session — never from any
